Its not being rebooted because of the negative reaction to the third one (which I personally had no problem with), its being reboot because of development and disagreement issues between Sam Raimi and Columbia Pictures. I honestly don't see the point in this. But at the end of the day, I dont really care about the Spider-Man movie franchise (besides the second) anymore now that we have had better superhero movies since, like The Dark Knight and Iron Man

I agree with pandaman, the second is the only one that really stuck with me. If they make this new franchise more like that one, with a larger focus on Peter's normal life, then this new franchise could really be a seller for me.
