I really liked this movie, but I found it one of Fincher's weaker and overrated films, but I can watch this movie a million times and it's still very entertaining.

This is a great flick, two of the best actors today (Brad Pitt and Edward Norton) in one film. I dont think its overrated, but it isnt Fincher's best. Arguably his best movie is Se7en. I still dont get the crazy ending of Fight Club, its just a mystery to me with the whole shooting himself and still living but it is one of the most quotable and entertaining movies of the past couple generations

I think Zodiac is actually his best film, but that is my opinion. But man you're right about the ending. I really didn't know how they were going to end it with the huge twist, but they managed to pull it off.

Fight Club is one of those guilty pleasures. Like you just feel like you grew some more hair on your nuts after watching it. It's a film that makes you want to pound your chest and roar like a mountain lion outside your window while you chug an ice cold beer. It's a film that makes you grab your lady and show her why she doesn't have to look anywhere else when she got the goods at home. well...at least that's how I feel when I watch it...am I alone here?? hello? err...

This movie was the only movie when I watched it my jaw dropped when the movie was talking about the thinks I like to do that I didn't even knew I was doing and that they managed to pull off a story that insane with that twist, it was simply amazing and the ending was on of thouse open endings left for discustions what exacly happened.
Best Fincher film and one of best movies ever in my opinion

I agree with rossandchrisreviews on Zodiac but man I think I watched a different film that what you guys did
. I thought fight club was terrible. I thought that the ending was cheese and the dialogue was silly. "what do you know about yourself unless you have been in a fight" is an idiotic comment. It brought bad memories of The Matrix reloaded when seraph said "you do not truely know someone until you fight them". I found the twist ending to be predictable and too far fetched and under developed for me to care about at all. Helane bonham carter is very talented and I was ashamed to see such a good actress go to waste. not only did her character add nothing to the story but I found her to be irritating as well.

I went in thinking "OK, let's ee what all the hubbub is about."
Holy schnickies. This is proof that you don't need a big green muscle man to make the ultimate wish fullfillment film. Beyond that, this movie takes the viewer and shakes it to thier core. Simply one of the best.

Great. Just great. I think he got away with shooting himself by putting the gun at an angle in his mouth, so it's touching the side of your mouth, not the top. I also found it hilarious how after he shot himself, the other cult dudes walk up and he just manages to say ask them for some gauss! God, that movie is funny! and to reply to Darkknightrules92, the whole "you don't know about yourself unless you get in a fight" quote- sure it may be crazy, *spoiler*but In retrospect I think of that more as Jack Truly letting Brad Pitt's side of him take over, you know, his violent side fighting his boring side.

I like this movie a lot but it not one of my favorites, it's a gross movie, everyone is so sweaty and unclean and with a lot of close shots it is easy to tell who's been rolling around in oil and who hasn't. But what can I say? Being gross does not equate into being a bad movie, this is a very good movie.
