The Godfather

 Do I even have to comment?

 Godfather was, along with Scarface (later), the defining movie about the Mafia and even now is a respected classic. It was also the movie that threw Al Pacino further into Hollywood.

  Godfather 2 was a excellent movie, but it couldn't compete with the first.

  The third movie, in my opinion, was also good, but it's considered to be the worst of the three. You can't deny that it had its moments, though.

    Anyone else?

One definitely revolutionized the mafia/gangster genre. 2 was a great movie, but it was aiming for a different topic then the first one. It was going more into family values and what Michael should do to keep the family going and what is ethically wrong. The third one sucked and should never be viewed on the face of planet earth. If you like this movie I would suggest Goodfellas- another gangster movie about how some really freaky-hardcore gangsters view their way of life.

 I've never understood why people are so harsh with the third Godfather.

I am harsh on it because it never had to be made- it has a bad story and an ending that ruined the movie. Also, Sofia Coppolla can't act for crap!

 Haven't seen it in a while, so maybe I missed the flaws.
