I'm beginning to get tired of movies being deemed racist now this year how many movies have been deemed racist let's see Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen yeah it was stupid but racist? Yeah I know skids and mudflap two black stereotypes I've heard it all before hated the characters didn't think they were stereotypes. The Princess and the Frog first disney black Princess getting with an Asian guy has new Orleans and voodoo yeah Beautiful movie  didn't find anything racist about it. District 9 Voodoo evil african gang leaders. Now I'm starting to think that all these racist accusations against movies are just a cry for attention. I mean if you care so much that you begin to nitpick at the tiniest details in a movie to find those little hints and say its racist then you need to get help yes there is racism in the world but god i'm sorry but just read this article quoting Annalee Newitz.
Annalee Newitz, editor-in-chief of the sci-fi Web site io9.com , likened "Avatar" to the recent film "District 9," in which a white man accidentally becomes an alien and then helps save them, and 1984's "Dune," in which a white man becomes an alien Messiah.

"Main white characters realize that they are complicit in a system which is destroying aliens, aka people of color ... (then) go beyond assimilation and become leaders of the people they once oppressed," she wrote.

"When will whites stop making these movies and start thinking about race in a new way?" wrote Newitz, who is white.

Seriously? Yes Avatar does draw upon references from Movies like Dances with Wolves and Pocahontas but i don't see how u can take a movie about aliens and make it about race besides it wasn't like the humans came in wearing kkk masks no plus watch the movie one of the characters essential in the saving of the alien race was Michelle Rodriguez's character is Michelle Rodriguez white the movie was about noticing the Beauty in nature and appreciating the natural world around you it was a battle between a technological advanced civilization which is on the brink of destruction and a tribal society that is so in tune with nature that they live hapy lives despite the dangers of the planet. The Movies theme was more about respecting the planet than making any commentary on race. You want a blatantly racist movie watch White Chicks but ofcourse no one willl say anything about that. People please can't we all just sit back and enjoy a good movie rather than arguing about whether or not it was racist
