It may not be as snazzy as the first one but it's still funny and entertaining as hell. Robert Downey, Jr. continues his streak of amazing movies off the heels of his amazing comeback a few years ago by once again playing Tony Stark perfectly. Sam Rockwell does an awesome job too and Mickey Rourke plays Whiplash fine even though I wish he had more character development. All the new characters may make the film seem jumbled, but all actors showcase talent and pull off good performances. Between the two films in this franchise so far, there is no clear winner. John Favreau gives us another fun Summer blockbuster on par with his first effort.
Overall:
9/10

**Btw, if you happen to come across a review by a Rotten Tomatoes user named ClassicClay that is similar to this one, don't think I'm pulling a Filmxtra on you and stealing someone elses reviews. Much like when Tony Stark announced that he was the hero in the iron suit in the first Iron Man, I Am ClassicClay, so don't call me out plz  Smiley**

I really really liked Iron Man 2. I cannot understand why "people" felt the need to bash the film. Continuously comparing it to the first in a negative way I think...is dumb. I had an argument with one particular fella who wanted to be a critic but could not move passed his own biased opinions and unreasonable demands for film quality. He told me the plot for Iron Man 2 was muddled and wasn't character driven.

you know when someone says something like that, it tells me the guy just picked up some known critic terms and used them, sort of like when Mike Tyson learned some big words and applied them in the most ridiculous places.

Iron man 2 is what a sequel should be, a continuation of a story. The plot was in no way muddled and handled the multiple plots rather nicely while doing something special for fans, setting the Avengers movie up. I think it was an amazing accomplishment and its a damn shame these "people" couldn't come down and enjoy a movie about a guy...in a robot suit.

Everyone has an opinion, but some opinions are better than others.
