I could only see the negative in the characters of Appaloosa, Ed Harris loved a loose woman and was supposed to be a guy who flew off the handle but only ends up doing so once on a random bar patron over nothing more than being loud while having a good time. Renée Zellweger is supposed to be the romantic love interest yet she gets with Ed Harris and at the drop of the hat she wants to be sexed up by Viggo Mortensen, talk about a fare not worth fighting for. Viggo himself is my favorite character in this movie and is hyped up by Ed Harris as a guy not to be messed with, but he barely says anything in comparison to the rest of the cast. Silence can equate into terrifying image, but Viggo did not bring that demeanor so we have to trust Ed Harris's word that he is one tough cat even though we cannot trust Ed Harris's judgment in women.

Heh, I recently watched avpr and i'm just thankful it wasn't as shocking as the first. Why can't they just forget about the humans? I know they can't just focus heavily on AVP, but considering it's about them; They should put so much more time into them. They bearly show any detail into the Alien, which is a shame as it's such an interesting character.

Maybe next time ay?

AvP was so much missed potential. What should have happened is James Cameron should have created a hostile world like Pandora and have the predators land there with the aliens to do some hunting but the aliens take over the hostile life forms and create new breeds of aliens. This could show just how adaptable these aliens are. Plus show how great Predators are at hunting. Meanwhile have the humans trying to mine Unabtanium to cure their own dying planet. Viola ! AvP Rebooted and I promise 500 million domestically in the first 2 weeks.

Take out the humans and make it a "discovery" channel-esque movie about the Predators hunting the aliens.

WrongDQ

Read the comics.  Do that as an animated miniseries.  Problem solved.
