On my birthday, in 2007, me and some of my friends went to one of these commercial centres with a cinema, fast food places and so on. We've decided to go watch Hitman.YES, we knew that it was bad, but that was the point - having some fun. Grin

Man, it was suuch a bad movie, we laughed during the entire thing. They didn't choose the right actor for Hitman, they've made such silly mistakes (f.e. Russian-Turkish border) and overall, it was just a mediocre flick based on the famous Hitman series. Cry

That day we saw how a silent assassin turned into a joke.

Seeing how I played and loved the games, I was looking forward to this movie. And you know what? I enjoyed it. It stayed true [ish] to the games and it was pretty fun to watch. But it isnt as bad as some games - to - movies. Who is that guy who gets alot of hate for making movies from games? Hugh Bolt or something, i think he is/was working on a Farcry movie and also made the Bloodrayne movies..? Well they were bad and if you look him up on wiki, all you read is hate lol

The thing I really hated is that the film made no sense! Why is he killing people? Why does he have a barcode on the back of his head? Nothing is explained in this film! Oh... you're telling me that the opening sequence of the film is supposed to explain everything? Bullshit!

Right, the beginning sequence tells us nothing!! It's realy confusing for newcomers, since they don't know that agent 47 is a clone. I couldn't believe my eyes when 47 jumped through the window into an apartment and two kids were playing Hitman on the PS2 or Xbox. Now that made no sense!!!

To Sam: Uwe Boll is considered to be the worst director of our times, all his awards begin with the word "Worst..." 90% of his movies are game adaptations, and 100% of them are $h!t.

Ah yeah that's the guy, good stuff Cheesy
I guess as a fan of the series I would understand it more than someone who has never played the game. It looks like it was advertised as a action flick as it would, rather than fans of the series. If you played Hitman Blood Money, the game the kids where playing, you will understand the story alot more and realise it isn't that bad, well i think so. To me, the kids playing the game was funny, just like when Stan Lee has them cameos in every Marvel film. The one thing I didn't like about this movie is the girl, which took the shine out of the games, but even still; it wasn't that bad. But it's a shame you didn't enjoy it. I just think you are expected to know the game to enjoy the movie. But I think it shouldn't of been made into a movie and leave it to the games that are well known, like Halo. It's hard to say what i'm thinking..basically, if you really like the games, it's going to be better rather than someone who just goes in expecting to see a good movie with a good story, which you end up more confused than when you came in. But they should of cleared it up better than they did, for people like you who hadn't played the games.

Actually, I've completed Blood Money...twice. Cheesy
Sorry, Sam, I didn't like it. I expected more stealth, a better Hitman and a different setting. It would have been so awesome if it started with that Blood Money level - " House of Cards" or " The Murer of Crows".
Anyways, that's just me. If you like it, it's totally fine. Wink

Yeah it would of been really good if it adapted levels from the actual game. I liked it and it isn't as bad as other films inspired my games. It's like Marmite, you either love it or you hate it Wink

That's actually what's missing from most video game to movie adaptations.  Levels from the actual game.  If there've been some with levels from the games they were based on, I must have missed them because I usually skip a lot of video game to movie adaptations.

I don't know about you, but when I see my favorite video game being turned into a movie, firstly I'd expect it to be done really well and stay true to the game.  Secondly, I'd actually like to see a level recreated from the video game whether it's only for novelty or it fits really well with the story in the movie.

I saw this movie with some friends too and the theater was dead empty. You could call it the calm before the storm. The movie was awful. Damn awful. But every time I watch it, it gets a little better. I'm probally just staring at Olga Kurylenko.

Well the could of easily re created a level, but I guess they wanted to make their own story while using elements from the game

I.E The part when he is trying to escape in the subway and he takes the guards uniform to lose the police. Or the whole storing weapons in the ice cube fridge. At least it stays true to the game. While the new Halo movie is pretty much a remake of the game.

Haha, I rented this on iTunes and saw it. It was a pretty bad film. I didn't think it was awful, but I didn't really like it either.

The scene where Belicoff dies is ridiculously fake and has always bothered me because the second Belicoff is shot, his guard team signals the helicopter to fire upon the chapel room where 47 is, mowing down Belicoff's corpse. What if Belicoff wasn't dead? The strike team didn't get a close look at Belicoff, he could have been shot in the stomach for all they knew.

The reality is is that the guard team would have never ordered a helicopter to shoot the chapel down for fear that Belicoff could still be alive. The other obvious problem with this plan is the the guards are all still in the building, something tells me that the guards might have a little concern for their own safety and whether or not they were willing to take the risk of being mowed down by a helicopter's machine gun.

It felt great to get that off my chest, that scene pissed me off so much for being so fake.
